Lara broke him to saddle by simply getting on him and going on a trail ride.  During this first ride (in typical fashion) Lara rode Copper along side the mare pasture.  However, Copper never made a move out of line.  He spoke to the mares but  kept right on moving along.  As you continue through our site you will see that we have retained three full sisters to Copper.  Initially, I kept thinking I would sell the fillies, but we found that like Copper they were loaded with substance, strong, well balanced, easy to train and so talented athletically it simply made sense to retain the mares in our breeding program.   Rosmel's Bey Cracker, our large bay Section B Welsh pony stallion, was purchased specifically to breed to the Lithgow Houdini mares.
